Classic Homeopathy

Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of homeopathy, discovered the principle of similarity more than 230 years ago (in 1790). He produced homeopathic remedies from the plant, animal, and mineral kingdoms, as well as from disease germs (e.g., tuberculosis).

Approximately 200 years later, in the 1990s, Dr. Rajan Sankaran, an Indian homeopath, began flooding the professional world with new ideas. Over the years, he developed "the new method," which was met with fascination in professional circles. Around 2005, I became interested in the "Sankaran method" and tried to implement it with a new anamnesis and elaboration. This process required time and new experiences. In 2022, I became aware of Indian homeopaths Drs. Joshi. With their developed "MAP" method (Mineral-Animal-Plant), case analysis became even easier.

Systematic homeopathy is gaining international recognition among experts.

A Homeopathic Case Study

(This is a fictional example. Due to the German Advertising of Medicines Act, I am not permitted to cite actual cases here.)

A young man comes to my practice with acute hay fever. He is particularly sensitive to grasses and various types of grain. He works in the creative media sector. Before his training, he studied but didn't find his passion. Then came the training, and he said, "I came out of my bubble." In addition to his rather quiet personality, I quickly notice his interest in oceanography. When I ask him about it, he describes his fascination: "It's deep and dark. You're alone. The weightlessness underwater is incredible. You dive down, and all you can see is the surface of the water. All you can see is the surface of the water, and the deeper you sink, the quieter it gets. It's the water, this depth and vastness, the sinking." As a teenager, he used to swim 3,000 meters at a time. The great thing about it was the automatism of it all—just moving through the water. When asked further, he quickly clarifies that he is not a “beach person”; he just likes being by and in the water.

I prescribe homeopathically prepared seawater, and the hay fever is gone at the follow-up appointment after five weeks. A year later, mild symptoms reappeared and were cured with another dose of seawater.

What makes homeopathy so special?

Most of my patients come to me with a specific health concern. They want to improve a condition they have been dealing with for some time. In addition to the physical symptoms of an illness, there are often mental and psychological abnormalities as well. They may develop more fears, which can lead to panic attacks, or experience emotional breakdowns or outbursts that interfere with their social life. Their sleep is interrupted, their nerves are unstable, and they have a short temper. A certain life situation has led to trauma. As a homeopath, I listen not only to specific complaints, but also to other issues in need of healing.

During the initial consultation, the patient discusses all their primary concerns. By observing how the person speaks and perceives their complaints, I can determine which of the three natural kingdoms—plants, animals, or minerals—the right homeopathic remedy may come from.

We categorize the remedies we prescribe into three major natural kingdoms: plants, animals, and minerals. During the consultation, I pay close attention to the patient's specific descriptions of their complaints. Through repeated questioning and description, I discern the natural kingdom based on the individual's description, hand gestures, sensations, associations, and choice of words.

Then, the finer distinctions in the natural world continue. For instance, even if it quickly becomes clear that the remedy comes from the animal kingdom, we still need to identify the correct animal group and species (mammals, reptiles, marine animals, insects, etc.). More information about the patient's nature, fascinations, aversions, preferences, interests, hobbies, and lifestyle can help us determine this.

Sometimes, during the initial anamnesis, we go directly to the source level, and the right substance is easy to find. In some cases, this is only possible after several consultations.

Currently, there are approximately 6,000 substances used to make homeopathic remedies. It is impossible to know all of these remedies. However, modern computer programs and case collections now allow professionals to search for a remedy or specific substance for a patient in a new way.

Homeopathy is purely an information-based medicine. We absorb the information of a substance that resonates with our life force. This correct energy information restores balance, alleviating or even curing illnesses, symptoms, and complaints. Modern quantum physics confirms that we can change physical things through intention and the right information.
